Updated October 2026 · Covers sales completed 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 (the latest month in HM Land Registry's data).
What are homes in Ramsbottom actually selling for? Asking prices only tell half the story. These are the prices buyers really paid, from HM Land Registry.
Area covered: Ramsbottom town on both sides of the River Irwell: the town centre, the streets west of the river out towards Holcombe, Holcombe village itself, and the east side around Peel Brow and Bury New Road. Holcombe Brook, Stubbins, Shuttleworth and Summerseat have their own pages and are not included here. Holcombe village had too few sales (2 in the last year) for a page of its own, so it is counted here.

Chris's view
Across Ramsbottom the typical sale over the last year was about £249,000, roughly 2% lower than the year before. The average fell further, about 5%, mainly because fewer of the town's larger detached homes have been recorded so far. Terraced houses, half of all sales here, held steady at around £230,000. That looks like a stable market rather than a falling one, and buyers are still paying well for homes that are priced sensibly from the start.

About these figures
- Source: HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, standard residential sales at full market value (category A). Repossessions, buy-to-let company purchases and other non-standard transfers (category B) are excluded, as are duplicate records of the same sale.
- These are all recorded sales in the area, by every agent and private sale. They are not Bowman Estates sales unless we say so.
- Land Registry data runs behind the market. Sales typically appear a few weeks to several months after completion, and the latest month published here is August 2026.
- Boundary: as described under "Area covered" above (postcode sectors with sales: BL0 0, BL0 9, BL8 4). Each postcode is counted on only one Bowman Estates sold-prices page, so no sale is double counted.
