Updated October 2026 · Covers sales completed 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 (the latest month in HM Land Registry's data).

What are homes in Stubbins & Shuttleworth actually selling for? Asking prices only tell half the story. These are the prices buyers really paid, from HM Land Registry.

Area covered: Stubbins village (Stubbins Street, Dale Street, Robert Street and the Stubbins end of Bolton Road North) and Shuttleworth (Whalley Road, Holcombe View and nearby streets), just north of Ramsbottom in BL0 0. Each had about ten sales, too few on its own, so they are combined.

Chris's view

Stubbins and Shuttleworth together had just 19 recorded sales, so these figures come with a health warning. The median rose about 10% to £250,000, but the average dipped slightly, and terraced homes, which make up most sales, sold for a little less than a year earlier at around £189,000. Two detached homes selling for more than £500,000 lifted the top end. In a market this small, knowing the individual streets matters more than any average.

About these figures

  • Source: HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, standard residential sales at full market value (category A). Repossessions, buy-to-let company purchases and other non-standard transfers (category B) are excluded, as are duplicate records of the same sale.
  • These are all recorded sales in the area, by every agent and private sale. They are not Bowman Estates sales unless we say so.
  • Land Registry data runs behind the market. Sales typically appear a few weeks to several months after completion, and the latest month published here is August 2026.
  • Boundary: as described under "Area covered" above (postcode sectors with sales: BL0 0). Each postcode is counted on only one Bowman Estates sold-prices page, so no sale is double counted.
