Updated October 2026 · Covers sales completed 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 (the latest month in HM Land Registry's data).
What are homes in Tottington & Walshaw actually selling for? Asking prices only tell half the story. These are the prices buyers really paid, from HM Land Registry.

Chris's view
On paper Tottington and Walshaw prices fell about 8%, to a typical £217,475. Look closer and it is mostly a change in what sold: only 15 detached homes have been recorded this year against 35 the year before, while terraced sales rose from 48 to 68. Like for like, terraced and semi-detached prices were both slightly higher than a year ago. If you own a detached home here, there is simply less recent evidence to go on, which makes a careful valuation more important.

About these figures
- Source: HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, standard residential sales at full market value (category A). Repossessions, buy-to-let company purchases and other non-standard transfers (category B) are excluded, as are duplicate records of the same sale.
- These are all recorded sales in the area, by every agent and private sale. They are not Bowman Estates sales unless we say so.
- Land Registry data runs behind the market. Sales typically appear a few weeks to several months after completion, and the latest month published here is August 2026.
- Boundary: as described under "Area covered" above (postcode sectors with sales: BL8 1, BL8 3, BL8 4). Each postcode is counted on only one Bowman Estates sold-prices page, so no sale is double counted.
